As you can see by the lack of postings, nothing new has happened here in Temple Valley so I've decided to post the lunch menus for the local Bounty Hill Elementary* school where my son attends.
On the menu today is: Whale
I don't think many people in Japan eat much whale these days. The Japanese government subsidizes whaling and without much of a commercial outlet, I think a good portion of it ends up in school lunches.
This is a copy of today's lunch menu, including nutritional information, caloric values, etc. and a rough translated summary: January 28th: Rice, Milk, Grilled whale meat with sesame seed and miso dressing, cabbage salad, and a rich vegetable soup with tofu cubes.Calories: 658 kcal / Protien: 27.3 g
*All place names are translated.
